1. Basic Policy

RINPA (“we”, “our”, “us”) respects the privacy of our users and complies with applicable data protection laws and guidelines.

This Privacy Policy applies to the iOS application StillFlow and the support form provided by our website.

2. Data Handled by the App

(1) Photos (Import & Save)

  • StillFlow allows users to import photos for particle animation, preview, and export.
  • Imported media is processed locally on the device only and is never uploaded to our servers or shared with third parties.

(2) Camera

  • Used for single-shot, burst, and video recording features.
  • Camera data is processed on-device and is never transmitted externally.

(3) Microphone

  • The app does not access or use the microphone.

(4) Face Detection (Vision Framework)

  • Face detection is performed on-device to enable “avoid” or “attract” particle behaviors.
  • Face images and detection results are not stored and not transmitted.

(5) Sensitive Data

  • StillFlow does not collect location data, contacts, health data, biometric identifiers, or other sensitive personal information.

(6) Cookies

  • The app does not use cookies.
  • The support form may use reCAPTCHA, which may collect data per Google’s policies (see Section 4).

3. Data Collection & Transmission

(1) App Processing

All processing related to imported photos, camera usage, particle rendering, and export is performed locally on the device.

No data is sent to our servers.

(2) Sharing / Export

If users choose to share exported images or videos via external services (e.g., social media), the privacy policy of each respective service applies.

(3) Support Form

When a user contacts us, we may receive:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Inquiry message

This information is used solely for responding to inquiries and is deleted after a reasonable retention period. We do not share this information with third parties unless required by law.

4. Use of Google reCAPTCHA

We may use Google reCAPTCHA on the support form to prevent spam and abuse.

reCAPTCHA may collect IP addresses, cookies, and interaction data, which are handled according to Google’s policies:

5. Analytics (Firebase Analytics)

We use Firebase Analytics to understand app usage, improve functionality, diagnose issues, and evaluate purchase events.

Firebase Analytics may collect non-personally identifiable information, including:

(1) Identifiers & Device Information

  • Session ID (UUID)
  • Locale and region (derived from device settings)
  • OS version
  • Device model
  • App version
  • A/B testing variant IDs
  • App-level user properties such as:
    • Subscription status (is_pro)
    • Preferred usage mode (single / burst / record)
    • Use of face detection features
    • Usage tendency indicators (e.g., heavy_exporter, intent scores)

Personal data such as names, email addresses, photos, contacts, precise location, and advertising identifiers (IDFA) are not collected.

(2) App Interaction & Usage Data

  • Modal open/close events
  • Control adjustments (particle count, density, brightness, gradient settings, LOD, etc.)
  • Time spent on premium effects
  • Time spent in each shooting mode
  • Preview-only notifications and interactions
  • Paywall impressions and CTA taps

(3) Export (Save/Record) Events

  • Export start/success/failure
  • Export type (photo, burst, video)
  • Resolution, frame rate, bitrate
  • Duration and file size
  • Error codes
  • Watermark status
  • Use of preview-only features

Exported media itself is never transmitted to Firebase.

(4) In-App Purchase Events (StoreKit 2)

  • Purchase start/success/failure
  • Restore success/failure
  • Product ID, price, currency, storefront information

(5) Firebase Data Handling

Collected data is transmitted to and processed by Google’s servers in accordance with Firebase’s Privacy Policy:

Users may limit certain data collection via their device settings (e.g., tracking restrictions).

6. Children’s Privacy

StillFlow is intended for users aged 13 and older.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If such data is discovered, it will be deleted promptly.

7. Security Measures

We implement reasonable security measures including:

  • On-device processing and minimal external transmission
  • Minimum permission requirements
  • Use of OS-level protections
  • Access control and retention limits for support form data

8. User Rights

For data submitted via the support form, users may request access, correction, or deletion.

We will respond within a reasonable timeframe after verifying identity.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy due to changes in functionality, law, or best practices.

Significant changes will be announced within the app or on our website.

The latest version will always be available on this page.
